An integration can be copied to use as a base for a new integration. It can also be used as a backup for any integration that is worked on.
Exporting and importing integrations can be done within the same SuperOffice tenant. However, it can also be done between two tenants. For example, if an integration is set up in a test environment and it is ready to be used in a production environment.
Note that for some parts of the integration a reconfiguration might be necessary. Unique identifiers that are used in one tenant can be different than in another tenant. Like ID’s for items in lists or names or descriptions of fields or items in lists.
Copy an integration
Copy an integration from the Integrations page. On each tile there is a copy button.
Or copy it from within the integrations menu.
Once an integration is copied, it is disabled. This to avoid that such a copy would start running jobs right away.
Export an integration
Exporting an integration will result in a file that is downloaded. The extension of such a file is .ndb.
That file contains the full configuration of the integration, except for all sensitive information, such as passwords, secret tokens and credentials to log on to platforms, storage or databases. It will also not contain any import file that was used to set up the integration.
Export an integration from the Integrations page. On each tile there is an export button.
Or download it from within the integrations menu.
The file is downloaded to your default download location.
Unfinished integrations cannot be exported.
Import an integration
Importing an integration is done from the Integrations page. The first tile that appears on that page shows the import link.
It redirects to a page where the import file with the .ndb extension can be selected. As soon as the file is selected, the import starts. The first page of the integration wizard is shown, like with any new integration. All details that can be populated, are populated as much as possible. Check all the values and correct them if needed.
Complete the wizard.
