A job can fail for several reasons, like a file that has an unexpected number of fields or columns, a database that can’t be accessed or exceptions that may occur when connecting to a third party platform. However, in some circumstances it is rather logical that a job fails, like when a fresh source file is missing from the configured storage.
If DataBridge is configured to process a freshly generated source file every day but the file is not found, the job can be marked either as failed or successful. This can be controlled by the Automation behavior setting.
The Automation behavior feature is available for file based sources and is found in the Source page.
Enable the Skip job if email is missing (or Skip job if file is missing, depending on the selected source type) feature to mark the job as successful in case the source file can’t be found.
If the integration fails too many times, it might be automatically paused. Take this into account when configuring Automation behavior.
